MELBOURNE, Sept 20 (Reuters) - Australia's competition watchdog said on Wednesday that efforts by Santos Ltd (STO) to boost local natural gas supply to fend off the government's gas export curbs were not enough to help the domestic market.
"Santos has taken some highly visible steps under the threat of the Australian Domestic Gas Security Mechanism but none of these moves have significantly addressed the situation," Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Chairman Rod Sims said in a speech in Canberra on Wednesday.
