News: Austal delivers patrol boat to Border Protection

Austal Limited (ASX:ASB) has delivered a patrol boat to the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service. 

 

The ship builder says it is the third of eight Cape Class Patrol Boats under a $330 million design, build and in-service support contract. 

 

CEO Andrew Bellamy says the development shows the company’s ability to deliver fleet builds of complex vessels within contracted timeframes. 

 

Austal advises the remaining five Cape Class vessels are at various stages of construction and will be delivered over the following year in line with the contract. 

 

Austal reported a net profit of $31.9 million in the 2014 financial year.
