Aristocrat Leisure Ltd (ASX:ALL) has warned its full year profit it set to drop amid a challenging US economy, weaker earnings in Australia and Japan and the strength of the Aussie dollar.
The gaming provider now expects full year operating profit after tax of between $50 million to $60 million in the 2010 calendar year. The figure is almost half of the $116.4 million delivered the year before.
Aristocrat says the Australian business has lost market share overall, with improvements in Victoria outweighed by losses in New South Wales.
The company is expected to release its final results for the full year in late February 2011.
Aristocrat Leisure booked a profit after tax of $49.53 million in the six months to 30 June.
