My take of this recent hiatus is the gas is proven to be down there and can be extracted within safe regulations albeit with the modification of the TLS. The question is do the government wants it ? They now have a peBrfect opportunity or excuse to make their position clear.
    1. Yes. Let get on with it. Make change and effective workable policy based on numerical data and scientific facts rather than opinion poll or vot ae buying pandering to shouty activists. Give shale a fair go just like all other industries in regards to seismic limits.
    2. No. We agree with Labour energy policy and were just jerking you around a bit in the last 7 years but sorry we prefer activists opinion and have no problems about import gas from oversea and now we have a perfect excuse to shut you down because you agree to the TLS limit. By pandering to the activists and Green demand to shut down UK shale we are hoping to get some votes from Lab supporters because by doing so they will like us more and vote for us and agree with us in other policies.

Anyway this will show the real gut, heart and soul of this Tory government and their political manifesto. Are they policy makers for the interest of the country or vote buying and popularity seekers.
