    We were told shale gas was essential as we needed the gas to sustain our use - now though we are looking to get rid of gas in home appliances... so the demand will be less and therefore, no need for shale gas. Also some concern over profit loss warnings by Centrica (who were due to pay next sum on completion of flow tests of 6 months so a way off yet) and the loss of the Roseacre site - surprised there's any optimism left.  https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-47306766
