Unfortunately p, at the time most patients may be oblivious to ‘what’s out there’, and if aware they may have to ‘override’ the thinking of the practising surgeon!
I have seen personal evidence of this, one of my clients had a procedure done with a Edwards Life Science product, wasn’t for me to say; ‘Oh, you should have used the Admedus product’!, I am not qualified or silly enough to make that suggestion.
Not the only example.
Also bear in mind any existing TAVR products WILL continue to improve over time, that is usually a fact for any new development, no company will rely on its ‘laurels’, if they do it will be to there detriment in the long run.
Any major entity WILL have the funds to ensure this, refinement of existing science.
As WP said himself; TAVR R&D has a longish way to go, both R&D and the search for a partner (?), from my understanding of his comments; as per rawcompeters post.
Atten; barra; looking forward to paying out on my promise!
