Agrimin Limited (ASX:AMN) has been granted four of the five tenement applications over the Mackay Sulphate of Potash Project in Western Australia.
The fifth tenement is expected to be granted in the company months.
Agrimin has now submitted a Notice of Works Program to the native title service provider and is progressing through the standard approvals process to allow for on-ground exploration activities.
The project covers 2,457 square kilometres of Lake Mackay, which is Western Australia’s largest salt lake with a surface area of close to 3,500 square kilometres, and has an Inferred Resource of 22.16 million tonnes of contained SOP.
The brine chemistry is similar in composition to other deposits in the East Pilbara region and is potentially suitable for the production of SOP.
