Aeon Metals (ASX:AQR) has increased Resources at its Walford Creek Base Metal Project in northwest Queensland by 52% to 73.3 million tonnes at 1.43% copper equivalent.
The updated estimate included 17 infill and 2 extension holes the company drilled in late 2014.
This also confirmed exploration potential with an extension of the mineralised stratigraphy 2 kilometres along strike to the west
Contained metal increased to:
- 296,000 tonnes copper from 113,000 tonnes;
- 623,000 tonnes zinc from 213,000 tonnes;
- 626,000 tonnes lead from 235,000 tonnes;
- 55 million ounces of silver from 25Moz; and
- 60,000 tonnes of cobalt from 35,000 tonnes.
Further drilling will to commence in the second quarter on targets outside the current Resource.
