I don't know whether I view this as good, bad or indifferent.
A good reading would be 'the deal is done, everyone go home, and we'll install a couple of accountants on the board to look after the paperwork.'
A bad reading would be 'Okay, we give up, anyone else want a turn?'
And somewhere in the lower middle is 'If we had just done or were about to do a deal, wouldn't one of the board appointments be representing that new entity?'
