I did actually wonder if he has stepped down so that he is free to trade for the deal.
A bit like Axel Hoos, who's a big fish over at GSK and a director of Imugene (imu), his only directorship. He said that if GSK become interested in imu then he will step down from the board.
So sometimes somebody moving on is a good thing.
