    It seems to me that it is not all bad news and there should be some continuing positives. Australia's beef exports to China increased 55% in the 12 months to September. While the bulk of this is frozen the MLA shipping figures show a 66% increase in chilled beef for the 12 months (today's Land newspaper).

    Even if things get a little tighter in China (prediced by some), the fast growing middle class will be continuing good news for beef and wine. The drought has meant larger numbers of cattle in the yard but in poorer condition, it does mean that over the coming period the demand vs supply equasion should favour producers prepared for the market. Hopefully our guys can make a benefit out of that over the next 12 months.


    Maybe our directors could let us know that they are placed to grasp the advantage.
