    if an algo takes adavantage of latency, its just one type of trading that is done without human intervention amongst many others.

    besides what proof do you have that HFT is more profitable than any other "non human" method of trading?

    has any HFT trading firm claimed the title of most profitable trading house?


    i would say that any advantage gained exploiting latency is always short lived. not only that, the exchanges computers dont have infinite capacity to deal with the information that a bunch of HFTs hitting it generates

    maybe you should sit down and critically think about these things rather than forumulating an opinion based on media sensatiolism
