Different ways to get there but plenty around that do it. From exploration related, SIR and SFR are post-GFC local examples (both rose licke crazy when the whole mining sector was rolling over in 2012). PIR was taken out too early but on the way to doing it. Zinifex did it in the last boom pre-GFC ($2 to $18 in 3 years) as did WSA. PDN and plenty of U stocks did in 2004 to 2007. Happens plenty of times, although it takes a great discovery to sustain the big gains as many boom and bust when they botch mines or prove poor metallurgy.
