I will kick things off for this year on a positive note in the hope that the threads for cm8 remain a little upbeat from now on.
All the negativity has been spilled in 2016 to the point where the cm8 thread was unreadable, however given the sp the negativity was somewhat justified, but perhaps not to the extent that we saw. The share market is a risk, tech stock are a risk, CM8 is a risk so if you buy this stock you can HOPE for a 5 bagger but you may also LOSE all your money. That is the risk of the share market. No one can see the future so no one can predict the sp of CM8 in the next week let alone in the next 12 months.
With regards to management, they have done a job typically in line with what we would expect from a small cap company - missed deadlines, underperforming revenue, upbeat announcements and a dwindling sp. Look at all the charts of asx listed companies with a mc under $30 Million and you will se that CM8 is really no different to most other small caps on the ASX so there will be no need to post in total disbelief and astonishment if the sp drops further as it may well do.
HOWEVER
The big difference is that CM8 actually has revenue.
If you want to look at a risk reward scenario, the the downside to CM8 is that the sp could go to zero. ie it could drop 8.6 cents and you could lose all your money. This scenario is possible. The upside is that the sp could appreciate and you can GUESS its upper limit is likely much more that a further increase of 8.6 cents. CM8 peaked at 23 cents just last august and they do have some good deals in place. Whether this translates to significant revenue is any one's guess.
So if you invest in CM8 and the sp halves, then it is not the end of the world, it is simply typical of have many small caps behave. The same applies if the sp doubles you will have just been lucky and you can enjoy your good fortune.
SO
dont expect miracles from management
dont expect an end to all the bad news
don't expect a 5 bagger
and good luck to all.
