He served as General Manager of WA - Thiess at CIMIC Group Limited. He has held a number of high level management positions in major Australian companies, including Thiess, MacMahon, United Group, Henry Walker and Baulderstone Hornibrook. Before joining Leighton Contractors, since 2011 he was the Executive General Manager, Construction at Thiess Pty Ltd, responsible for Australia-wide construction activities. Mr. Buratto joined Thiess Pty Ltd. in 2000 as the General Manager, Western Australia and Northern Territory where he was instrumental in growing their local business, developing opportunities in the iron ore sector and LNG market. Mr. Buratto previously led national civil and underground mining operations for Henry Walker. He has strong experience and skills across construction, including tender leadership, project planning and management, risk management and Alliances.
