PS: Not sure whether they pay Franked Dividends in Canada and/or whether they are common. US Companies seldom pay dividends I believe but reinvest profits (usually).
Also there are currency rate fluctuation which present a risk (or win fall). I don't like overseas shares for these reasons.

Im not sure KLA is a suitor... mind you I don't care even if it is. But I do note that other Canadians are lurking around and even on the ground eg Mandalay at Costerfield. At $30m Cap NAG is cheap change for a multinational gold miner. KLA would only need to issue another 1m shares (on their paltry amount they have on offer on ASX now) to gobble us up! Now thats a problem I could deal with. And I can tell you now many people would jump over eachother to buy more KLA. Things have taken so long now at NAG to get going that if someone come along and offered 20-30c many would jump at it!
Again like many multinationals in mining and other industries... their officers often look to what is happening in their industry/sector by looking at what the competition is doing and not thinking outside the box. What is the latest trend? It is not often unique or entrepreneurial thinking or actions by passionate or investigative minds... but what is going with the crowd. Mark my words there will be people looking into NAG for those reasons alone.. plus 2000 sq km's of ELs, huge AUD Gold price, low costs of entry and operation, and huge potential rewards!
