I note that  no time frame is given for obtaining any of the many Gov't Approvals reqd  !!!!

I wonder if any company would now bother to apply for a Reconnaissance Permit as the new legislation states that RP holders are NOT entitled to make a claim for the grant of any  Prospecting Licence or Mining Licence.

Why  explore for minerals in India when you have no right to convert the RP to a PL or ML.
