they were fracking in the powder river basin in the US for 30 years before the boom with no substantive issues.
issues tend to arise when a boom occurs - wells are put in without due rigour and review of underlying strata and water sources
the same people who spend all day on their iphone & pcs complain about energy costs and at same time want to ban all carbon energy without having any well founded understanding of the challenges of solar, wind and hydro in baseload delivery
nimbyism - it was ever thus
