The director from LAP joined the board just after the debacle with Sumitomo occured - possibly to strengthen numbers to vote for the deal, who knows.
Tsang released a letter to shareholders but I don't recall a price or a time, just that the Sumitomo deal was too low. With falling iron ore prices and them hovering around Mindaxs production cost, maybe it wasn't too low.
