To meet capacity requirements and Australia wide CSO standards for delivery DHL would probably need distribution centres in every State and obviously need to comply with standards for the supply chain for pharmaceutical products. It now depends how keen DHL are to gain a foothold and compete in pharmacy distribution in this country. Of interest DHL have just lost the distribution contract for NHS products in the UK.
The Australian CSO decision will obviously prompt DHL to either become a full line CSO wholesaler or leave this sector.
