The East African Community (EAC) has received a grant from the African Development Bank Group under the NEPAD Infrastructure Project Preparatory Facility (NEPAD-IPPF) Special Fund towards the costs of a detailed assessment of the overall feasibility of implementing a natural gas pipeline from Dar es Salaam to Tanga (Tanzania) and Mombasa (Kenya), and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the grant for eligible payments under the contract for Feasibility Study for a Natural Gas Pipeline from Dar es Salaam to Tanga (Tanzania) and Mombasa (Kenya).
