Ok, so there will be a gas plant and pipeline:

Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania — Kenya and Tanzania plan to set up a joint gas plant in Mombasa, Kenya.

The plant will process natural gas deposits from Tanzania, it was learnt in Dar es Salaam on Thursday.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) will finance studies for construction of the Dar es Salaam-Tanga-Mombasa natural gas pipeline that will pave way for the construction of the plant by the end of this year, according to an energy official at the East African Community (EAC) Secretariat.

Last week, potential investors were invited through a memorandum to express interest for the pipeline project.
