Kopr, your problem is that 68% of all GWR shares are owned by 20 top shareholders. Your vote and my vote and the vote of other hotcopper posters means nothing. For the same reason, Portman cannot dream of mounting a successful takeover. There's just not enough shares to be bought to take control of the company.
The only way portman can buy into GWR is by taking over FAS - on FAS' terms.
I can see a huge upside to fas in the coming months, especially if they have some proven iron ore deposits. Then watch PMM move in on FAS.
