"I dont subscribe to the diversification theory."

Me neither - if it's a good company then buy a good parcel - I say. I reckon diversification is overrated. Balance is another thing. I wouldn't hold retailers at the moment - the retailing environment is undergoing significant change. If you can pick the direction then you might make some dollars. I am not that good at picking direction.

I wouldn't have all of my dollars in one or two shares. And I also like to keep around 15% of available investment dollars in cash in the 'war chest' so as to grab an opportunity when it arises.

Anyway, each to his own and good luck to you with your application for 30,000 shares.
