When a stock has a huge advance like mrf over a few days and comes back down for a consolidation, if it was pumped far above its value it will come down significantly and will not have a meaningful rally until a while later.

If, however, it stops sideways on lower volume after a huge advance (like the other day) this tells you that someone with big pockets wants in and this has the potential to go much higher. Rather than the SP being pushed on speculation, it is being raised to fair value.

Sorry if im not making sense, im watching for an exit on another stock climbing rapidly
