Dear fellow shareholders,

This week we launched our 5G Fixed Wireless solution to the global market. Our new Self-Install technology solution will enable a faster and more cost-effective roll-out of 5G Fixed Wireless, optimizing the business case for network operators.

As we said during our annual results announcement in August, 5G is a key focus for us this year. 5G Fixed Wireless is being widely viewed as the first real use case for 5G technology and the market is promising to be very significant, especially in our target markets of North America and Europe.

We have developed a portfolio of devices, both indoor and outdoor, to allow for the varying characteristics of the 5G Fixed Wireless market. However, the even more exciting news is the development of our new mobile application that will allow end-users to self-install the modem, ensuring the best possible connection to the 5G network – and saving operators hundreds of dollars on professional installation costs.

This mobile application guides the end-user through the installation process, and provides recommendations regarding the best location in the house to install the device, based on the quality of the signal.

Our extensive in-field experience of helping to optimise professional Fixed Wireless installations has allowed us to develop this technology to now deliver the best possible Self-Install solution in readiness for 5G.

In advance of the 5G technology becoming available, NetComm has already conducted significant end-user usability testing, to ensure that our Self-Install mobile application is as user-friendly and easy-to-use as possible so that we can deliver an excellent experience for users.

At the end of February (25-28), we will be taking this Self-Install technology to the global telecoms industry at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in Barcelona where we will meet with operators from around the world that are on the hunt for new and efficient ways to deploy Fixed Wireless Access – and we will have something truly exciting to share with them.
