I don't think near maps strengths are its patented technology , it appears others can produce similar imagery .My view its strengths lies in the tools they have and continue to develope that provide value to the images. Spook fish may or may not dent there Australian operations, I think it's healthy, gets Nearmap battle hardened as they rollout around the world. First stop the USA , does nearmap face competition in the USA? I couldn't imagine a more competitive landscape. The Ceo seems pretty certain of the business case in the USA. Nearmaps strategy has been to allow free data downloads for a period, we should not be surprised that others may employ a similar tactic.
