a national broadband network is a great idea.
such a network is essential to a modern advanced society if it is to compete at the top end of technology.
who builds it and how its paid for is always going to be contentious
is FTTN optimal, no. but its better than what we have at the moment.(I hope, I will let you know in the next 6 months when I get it).
