I get what you are saying but having Optus commercialize a 5G device in Australia before us is a joke especially since we have had our 5G network operational now for months and they are just rolling it out. Why couldn't Telstra get a mobile modem into the market at least?
Secondly, why did the NBN not force Optus to sign a non-compete agreement in order to offer services on the NBN? Telstra cannot compete against the NBN until 2031 but it can roll out mobile modems that are more than capable of working from a home. There are ways for Telstra to "compete" in the fixed wireless space without "competing" and this should be a wake up call to them.
