I dont think the JHSV and the LCS are interchangeable. The JHSV is essentially a military ferry whilst the LCS is more of a combat style ship (although highly limited in that role).
I am a little concerned that if a Jap/US ship were designed that it would cut Austal out of the loop. If the Independence variant of the LCS can be satisfactorally reconfigured by ASB then we will see a big rerating in ASB.
