The He best way forward for this business, is to sheet down about 20 of the practices. Cut your losses and really work hard on improving the others.
Regarding your second point re buyouts. Some of the ones that have left got enough in their upfront payments that they didn’t actually care about the profit share.
there is a lot of mistrust by many dentists of the corporates but because corporate offers are so much higher than private offers, often they take the corporate offer because the upfront component alone is better than what they get privately.
Firrher, Smiles due diligence was so poor on these practices that they paid 5 times ebitda when some of these practices would not have even fetched 3 times. So the upfront amount was more than enough.
