I don't think so - not that MCE wouldn't be an attractive target to somebody like Trelleborg looking for Asian capacity, but the trading halt would have said something like "pending the announcement of a significan transaction" if a takeover was on the cards. Instead, it used the words "financial and operational", which I think is code for: yikes the share price is gettin hammered for no good reason, let's buy ourselves two days and make an announcement about nameplate capacity / order book. At least that is my optimistic predication. No sure what the bad news could be - they did a good job of getting that out inte half yearly presentation.
