EMV's lead product is the brain scanner but I believe they are also working on a torso scanner for the detection and monitoring of NAFLD. This is obviously not as advanced as the brain scanner (not prototype ready according to prospectus) but in my opinion the market here could be just as big. I'm definitely not an expert in this area but as far as I know there is no FDA approved drug for NAFLD (apart from lifestyle changes and eating less burgers), and considering it affects nearly 1 in 3 Americans there is a huge amount of money being pumped into R&D by Big Pharma to come up with a magical pill.
Will definitely be watching this one for progress as I believe the big fish will be wanting to incorporate diagnosis and monitoring tools into their verticals. Some interesting reading below:
