    RNF,

    Thanks for the kind reply.

I am a great believer in forums. Because, it should be that people do share their knowledge and past experiences with everyone participating and are interested in other's comments and points of views.

As for selling your AOE, it is totally up to you and your decision only. But, from my past experience, I would never let a Broker make my decision on what to buy or when to sell. I make that decision based on the principle that wherever I decide to do, and in the case that something backfire, I will not have to blame anyone but myself. I have learnt the hard way that most of the time Brokers influenced my decision, and most of the time it cost me money. So from then on, I DECIDE. After all it is my money that they want to be playing with not theirs.

On the other hand, if I make the good decision, I will try and pat myself in the back, and don't have to be thankful to anyone else either. But to each his own.

As for what is happening with AOE currently and the shorting of shares, one has to think the reasoning behind it all. And that is, that even if SHELL/PETROCHINA will pay a Broker lets say 50Mill dollars for their trouble of doing so, they stand to be saving hundreds of million of dollars down the end kif the T/O is successful.

Think about it. If for instance Shell and Petrochina will have to pay an extra dollar per share for the T/O to succeed, that will cost them (with around 700 to 800 million shares on issue, an extra 700 to 800Million dollars. And that, to me paints a very good picture in what is going on.

So, if, lets say they will manage to buy on market 50 to 100 million shares, at the one extra dollar only, they would have saved the equivalent amount in dollar terms, and possibly even more.

After all, all of the people that have sold out of their shares already, will be out of the equation, if and when we will succeed to get that extra money.

    My thoughts and please DYOR.

    Buddy
