My logic is given the opening price of 1.85 on the 9 th of november..
if we apply a 5 percent increase per week as stated in the buy back annment we get:
week 1 : 1.95 week 2 : 2.05 week 3 : 2.15
We should see around 2.15 by the end of the month with the preference shares...
Also the 5 percent is based on the share buy back rules, which I have generalised or simplified. So the above theory may move up or down slightly.. I think it will move up slightly by 10 percent...
that's my logic.. also given the market general consensus people are waiting for a correction, but there is too much money sitting on the side lines..the timing of this buy back is good.
So if the pref A shares are at discount from 3.50 then it is in Villiage Roadshow's best interest to purchase as many shares at discount within the rules stated in the buy back..
Reading between the lines, villiage road show wanted to reorg the capitual. I think they are keen to rap up the entire listing and make this company private, but this is a fairway away..
The moral of the story is the last man standing with pref A shares wins.. lol
Philip why are you so negative about VRL?
