The ASX are more concerned about future shareholders. They delist companies so that they aren't responsible for people buying stock in the company in the future, whether on market or via capital raises. It's certainly arguable that they are too slow to act sometimes but delisting isn't about hurting the current shareholders, it's about protecting everyone who isn't already stuck. If you are able to sell your shares on market, sure, it fixes your problem, but it just transfers the problem to someone else.
