As much as I hate tax I'm not sure a 30 times hike is to account for lost revenue due to GST however with new standards to tackle tax minimisation perhaps this is one way to extract value from Google maps now that there is a monopoly on the API. The good thing is Nearmap doesn't really need Google's api. They just need address matching to geocordinates and then they can overlay their maps/functionality. I don't think many customers would use street view as they load Nearmap straight into Esri/GIS rather than the web version.
