With all due respect sir, Covata is behaving more like a 'betacam', a ground breaking superior technology of its day that was soundly trounced by a lesser tech with a superior marketing team. Betacam joined the dodo as duds - they both exhibited low survival characteristics in a competitive natural selection environment that saw their extinction.  The market place is the ultimate environment which determines marketplace survivors regardless of how deserving we might think certain technologies/companies might be.

Covata and TT's naiveté in commercialising a supposed superior technology over the last 2 years has seen the competition entrenching themselves with first mover advantage and extending their market reach regardless of technological shortcomings. In this environment Covata is struggling to make itself relevant, to cut through, survive - nobody wants to be caught investing in a new technology that may have little adoption elsewhere i.e. investing/adopting 'betacam' as the sole platform was a losing investment at that time.

I would expect that any government/industry procurement and IT director worth their salt would be asking this very relevant question -  will we be investing in a 'betacam' solution? They definitely don't want to be caught on the wrong side of history with their security investment, so they are noncommittal - waiting and watching - nobody wants to be the first cab off the rank investing in such an untested new security IT as there's no advantage to do so.

Now if it was CISCO coming out with a new security tech it would be adopted pronto - but that ferry has apparently left the wharf.
BTW what ever happened to the CISCO guy that was brought onboard?

With all due respect, TT is still sitting in the drivers seat directing affairs regardless of who the 'pit boss' is.

Forgive me for being direct, but I suspect that Mr Pretty was a "must have" appointment from the TPG connection and that TT's tenure at Covata is now strictly performance based (as was it ever).
