Have to say my knowledge of NPV is limited, but I suspect that over a thirty year mine life, a change in the applied discount rate from 10% to 12% will make a huge difference, i.e. an NPV10 of 404m USD may well be equivalent to an NPV12 of 297m USD (401m AUD).
