Prior to the GFC the nickel was touted to be worth $1B + if KZL sold it, That was Kim's plan, he was going to sell LL to fund AD Bay, that way they would not be beholden to another partner, he also knew it was KZL's ticket into the big league if they pulled it off.
It's a shame as they had all the planets aligned for them prior to the GFC. Thing are at least well on the mend now.
