There is a study in South Australia that believes a new battery is within the laws of physics. This Law is that any atoms that are Polarised to each other, will react exactly the same to each other regardless ofwhere they are in the Universe, providing those atoms are polarised to each other.
What that means in Battery charging, is that say a battery had 100 cells in it, and lets say all those cells were polarised to each other. Then based on the Physics you would only need to charge one cell, and the other 99 cells would automatically align their neutrons and electrons the same as cell 1. Meaning the other 99 cells get charged by this bazzar law of Polarisation. Basically they just copy in sync without needing to have been charged.
Then you have a fully charged 100 cell battery to draw from, yet when you want to charge it, you ned to just charge 1 cell. And the others copy it by this magic called polarisation.
I dont know the name of the researcher, and Idont have a link but what I read is they reckon its a no brainer that this can be done.
If/when this is done, then all you need is a charging source, and the power of that charging source isnt really relavant because these batteries can charge exponencially by polarisation. So if this is true and it does happen, then the solar Glass could be all you need to run a Car.
Food For thought.
