I agree with all the points you have made bar one, in the LVAD trial it was only one model of LVAD that generated the pump thrombosis, the model fitted to the Destination Therapy group, those keeping their LVADs, not destined to get a heart transplant. The issue was unknown until the researchers started switching them off to test wean times.

I covered that in a discussion with Techinvestor in this post. The detailed info was either from a webinar post trial with SI and a few of Mesoblasts resident specialists or in the full notes from the trial investigators, not the abridged version supplied by Mesoblast.
