It is rather hypocritical of Ms Reinhart to criticise the high costs of
producting Iron Ore when she is skimming commissions from
Rio's Mt Tom Price and Hamersley Iron complements of her
father Lang
And like her father who facilitated the buying of Mt Tom Price cheaply
by Rio (Majority foreign owned) she also is facilitating the buying
of Roy Hill cheaply by the China, Korea & Japan.
We have to accept what she is saying as pandering to her
handbag ( I was going to say hip pocket) rather than the
good of Aussies generally.
If we want to flog everything to foreigners (foreigners own over
70% of our resources already and their Abbott Government has lifted the
value cap from $300 million to $1 billion before takeovers are referred
to the FIRB and recently Joe Hockey was in China sprucing the merit
of the increased $1 billion threshold) then we should come outright and say so
rather than being left like proverbial frogs boiling.
And on Anzac day we'll march commemorating our forefathers who died
for this country in wars against Germany, Japan & China (via Vietnam &
the Korean War) yet we'll now go with cap in hand looking for their investment
dollar.
