    Hi Nasabear,

From what I understand, SL vein is suitable for graphite anodes. The question id be interested in is whether or not it is the best use for it. In my mind price will determine what (vein, flake, synthetic)  is used to make battery grade graphite. The price would vary company to company, but the low cost producers with high purity will get the off-takes.

Would MRF be willing to reduce the price to undercut the flaker's?

I'm not sure and would love to see some numbers on the expected opex of MRF vein to do a comparison. A few of the flake companies are looking at vertical integration to value add to their product and this will further reduce the price of spherical graphite.

As you have correctly pointed out before, "With MRL Corporations new Partner and MR Grigor it is definitely in position to expect Premium Prices." The premium prices would come from a cost effective product that very few can make . One step graphene.

So basicly yes, they can make battery grade graphite, but can they do it cheaper, or provide a much better end product than the lowest cost flaker's? I don't know the answer but I would doubt it. Ill be happy to be shown otherwise.

As I said I am not experienced in SL vein and I might be missing something crucial here but I see MRF as a graphene supplier more than battery material (which I think will be potentially oversupplied in coming years).

All just my opinion and I could be wrong.
