I hear what you are saying with this rounding argument, but the problem I have with your statement is that if the retail traders you mention can be influenced so easily by something such as this, that is their own problem. Of course the market is not an even playing field. Investors in this (or any) market span from highly educated, experienced institutional investors with large research teams from around the world to blokes getting "hot tips" from their mates, to financially uneducated, average Australians who don't even know a portion their super is invested in the ASX.

If you think any market is ever a level playing field unfortunately you are missing the big picture.
