Heartening to read today :
NOTE to all - as of Friday , the long- awaited anti- corruption legislation was passed through the Solomon Islands parliament and has become Law as of last week .
Overdue . But hugely significant. ( stalled through last year - to point, that finally the majority of Govt parliamentarians ‘crossed the floor ‘ and voted with the rag- tag opposition to oust the standing government. )
This significantly held back & has hurt Axiom shareholders - although medium to longterm is very very good .
**Corruption was the main blight within the SI government and public service .
The country is now opened up considerably this year as a result of the new government which reformed - foreign nations returned , since the end of last year .
Axiom and Isabel , we as shareholders!! further diluted ! this last 12mths . This due to the need for ongoing operating finance while expected Mining licence did not eventuate last year! .. until this half year .
Axiom is now in that best position that we long envisaged and hoped for - Plus additionally holds tenement D .
**The ‘entire ‘ Isabel Nickel province . **
Everyone, Market wise— likely just got worn out on (doubt - these extra many years ) - although fundamentally still so huge .
Everyone felt angry , frustrated and all in between - as shareprice deflated to where is , Plus add some ‘shorting ‘ !? - to this scenario .
The Solomons must -and is progressing .
Our Australian government and all of Us as taxpayers are in there, providing incredible support in the Solomons , contributing hugely .
The New laws - mean -
1. it is now a Criminal offence - to accept bribes !
Or
2. To profit in any way materially or in kind, from favours , as result of a person’s position in public office or trusted position.
* is Law now -is Criminal .
Passed through SI parliament fully .
Also today - read - that the position of the Personal Secretary for the Minister for Mines and Rural electrication - has been vacant , for over 6 mths .
And - Last week , commencing employment as of Monday this week - a highly qualified, educated forner Mines and Resources advisor to PM - has taken up appointment . He is highly keen and highly respected , as a man of integrity and high education and experience- holds PhD etc .
So :
The new PS - to Mines minister is now working with the Solomon Islands Mines minister .
‘What a country ‘ you may say ~ though it is their country to run .
“Good people still rise to the Top . “
In a small country one’s reputation precedes you. .
Axiom - and why I am invested - has acted , and conducted in an ethical manner .
No cheap tricks or money handover .
It is the ONLY way .
And this is what the people want . Trust is everything. Integrity longterm .
The last 10 years will dim into history? Though been painful.
Is actually still very exciting to me that the little company that ‘could ‘ ~ will mine , and are accepted within and committed to the SI , and with the Isabel Province Landowners .
Life goes on a long ,long time .
Unfortunately Rome not built in a day, nor Isabel Nickel developements !
I hold and am strong.
I think we have a relatively small band - of unconnected actually , very rugged Holders here .
**If people clearly , think - of the next year , to three - how huge a contrast will it be at last , and the re- rate , can see ?
There is no other way . Can’t force anything .
But is always complex - at the last final haul stage.
Thoughts with Management with whatever they are nutting through ! No news - is good news , else we must be informed . They’ve announced all is progressing .
Axiom have a significant team of people - some outstanding in Nickel Laterite developement, and mine developement, working with now camp of wonderful local men - at San Jorge - readying to mine .
This has been the SI .
*Only reason - Hence the sp .
I am willing to trust in a significant alliance , that will be important for the Solomons and Australia longterm - over all African countries investment , Asian other , or even Nth America ( for small cap companies ).
This is entirely my personal decision and view .
I think this is It . It has been far from easy , and a long 8 years .
