For information of readers - general knowledge -
The total population of people in the Solomons is not huge.
*Average age of the population, must now be ~ bang on about exactly 20 years of age?
Almost exactly - perhaps a month or two above 20years of age , will be very close to correct I think. (was 19.7 years of age , average age SI citizen - over 6 mths ago )

*Perspective - the country has been backward looking and “stuck” for way longer than should have been , through this decade also . Still a lot has been achieved , most especially since new government formed 12 mths ago .

* The SI - encompasses about 1000 kms of nearly 1000 Islands , in a long arc archipelago

*Total number of voting public -
Eg. expats included ( those living and working in Australia & elsewhere overseas , also those being higher educated in major universities around the commonwealth . )
~Eligible voters is in the several hundred thousands? ( less than 300000 ) of population total is eligible voting age .

Voting is compulsory in the upcoming 2019 , will be historic general elections for the next government .
World state of the art voting registration has been methodically carried out - in every province .
There were a lot of double- up registrations , sort of nice to see., but not right , cheeky and incorrect —- behind the scenes perhaps candidates thought to try increase the voting numbers who would vote for them ?
It is reported that all will be sorted out honestly , to accurately establish the final electoral roll and give every person eligible , one vote - as well as make sure that everyone eligible to as a true citizens only of the Solomon Islands are included ,then , to be able to be in the Vote.
The election will be in the first half next year.
Some extremely excellent new and existing candidates are standing for election .
