The parent Finfeed post states "There is the potential for Central Petroleum to increase its east coastsales with Prendergast saying that the NGP has current capacity of 90terajoules per day, but could be expanded to 160 terajoules per day withoutcompression.".

As far as I know this is incorrect and a midline compression station would need to be installed in order to achieve this.

The following montage  attempts to summarise the NGP for the benefit of new readers.

The main pie graph summarises  the NGP utilisation at startup and indicates that allowing for the 4.7 TJ of presold gas to MAC and their (Presumed ?) 22 TJ of Mereenie output that CTP only have 17.3 + say 6.7  TJ/Dayavailable capacity to send gas to the Eastern markets including Mount Isa.

In any case to put another 70 TH/day down an upgraded NGP would require upgrades that would IMO take considerable time.

Under an MOU with Galilee energy, Jemena are proceeding towards FID on a Galilee Basin to Wallumbilla  pipeline which would probably e extended to Mount Isa.

In the long run this could be good for CTP, however ii could mean that Galilee basin CSG with a relatively low COP could be supplied to Mount ISA/Wallumbilla at a competitive haulage rate.

    Regards OGP
