Look at the comments from last year. Exactly the same about the weather.

I'll share a story that made me sell my Coke shares despite holding on due to my baby boomer belief in the product and hanging on from $12 +.

My daughter had a 16th birthday party just before Halloween and I went and got a case of Coke. It had been discounted so heavily at Woolies that it was cheaper than a case of Sunkist.

Anyway, I packed it in ice with some other drinks - flavoured mineral water etc, but mostly Coke. It was a hot day (pool party) and I was coming down the back to check everything was ok. I heard a girl ask, "Is there anything to drink other than Coke?"

Other than Coke! Only 2 cans had been drunk - one of which was from me. All the other drinks were gone and in outrage I said, "Doesn't anyone like Coke?"

All the teenage girls said they didn't drink it. No boys in the group, but take it as you will. The teens were actively avoiding it as a brand.

Sugar is being demonised. Health messages on tv warning about the dangers of drinking "Cola", (the generic cans shown are of course red and white).

Studies that purport to show that drinking one carbonated drink increasing the risk of heart attacks. All rubbish in my opinion, however people feel righteous grabbing a mango flavoured, sugar packed mineral water to swill down their fish and chips and pizza.

Took my losses. Good luck to holders, but Coke will not be king again for a long time, if ever. MHO.
