Kens, I don't think it ever got to the stage of Siyi assembling anything. The 30/01/09 update stated the units were assembled by SBL's contract manufacturer........Whoever that was ?
The 5,000 units that SBL sent to Siyi were never distributed to the MPS or paid for by Siyi. I think they just sat on a pallet for a few months and then returned.
The problem lay with the initial testing units sent to Siyi.
It has been said a million times before but you would think that a batch that important going to such an important customer would have, and should have, passed the most rigorous of quality control measures.......... But we all know now, that was, just a fallacy.
